Fall is the perfect time to write and reflect. Whether you've written songs before or are looking to get started, a weekly group is the perfect way to blast through your blocks and get creative. The class will focus on writing exercises, weekly topics and assignments with time for sharing and feedback (only if you want to).

Kate Weekes is a songwriter with 5 albums of original songs. 'Rideau Roots', her 2025 release is inspired by a musical residency she led by canoe on the Rideau Canal. 'Rideau Roots' is nominated for the 2026 Album of the Year with the Capital Music Awards. Kate is the 2017 recipient of the Songs from the Heart Award through Folk Canada.
